Chestnut Yanggang (sweet jelly)
It has great flavor of soft and gentle sweetness and chewing texture of chestnut granule. Chestnut Yanggang made using chestnut and gelatin extracted by boiling agaragar, one of seaweed is easy to make and tastes good. Keep it cold for better taste. Gelatin is popular for diet.
Red bean sediment 300g, Gelatin 13g, Sugar 1 cup, Salt, water 2 cups.
1. Boil red bean with little salt.
2. Strain (1) and peel off. Settle sediments by pouring water.
3. Melt gelatin after pouring water little.
4. Mix the gelatin of (2) and pour it into fixed frame.
5. Put pieces of boiled and peeled chestnut into the center of frame and harden it in the
refrigerator for about 1 hour.
6. Cut the well-hardened Yanggang into proper pieces.
* Note: it could be hardened too quickly if putting too much gelatin.
